Found Forest Fairy

Found Forest Fairy is a bib/vest, an enchanting garment made over a period of time, created from vintage textiles and notions, that were once loved by others and served a different purpose. This garment is entirely hand sewn, minimizing the amount of energy used to create it.

I love this piece and its role as a sustainable garment because it can also be styled multiple ways and layered with many different garments, making it not only a one of a kind piece but also a garment that can be interpreted in various ways, extending the life of the garment.

The Found Forest Fairy top is often styled with my Princess Chicken Moss Micro Mini Wrap Skirt and the Papageno Hat

The Papageno hat was created in 2019, while learning traditional millinery, hand making hats and headpieces.

For this hat I created the headpiece for the character Papageno from Mozartโ€™s opera The Magic Flute, 1791.

The hat is constructed with a buckram base and millinery wire, lined in faux leather and draped with suede upholstery fabric. The ornamental details are made of faux leaves, feathers, and beads.

In the fall of 2023 Papageno was featured in the MassArt All School Show, and received the Vice President Best In Show Award.
